11x14” / 7/8" pour abstraction created in the summer of 2020. Using acrylic pour techniques, I attempt to recreate the lines visible in a bouquet of calla lilies. The base layer is carbon black. The pour blends cobalt turquoise, fluorescent chartreuse and naphthol red light. Similarly to canvas 136, the work presents the viewer with an idealized, high contrast, flower-like structure not found in nature.
