11x14" / 7/8" abstract created in 2019. This painting is a study in two point perspective. The work began by covering a canvas in quinacridone red. Using chalk and a ruler I added a horizon line in the center of the canvas. The ends of the horizon line serve as vanishing points for the cube then drawn in the center of the canvas. I painted the visible sides of structure with cadmium orange and cadmium green. Both colors are muted by blending in titanium white. The chalked horizon and perspective lines are preserved with a layer of fixative.
