11x14" / 7/8" abstract created in the spring of 2020. This piece marks the beginning of my love of the Acrylic Pour technique. For this first attempt, I purchased a pre-package pouring kit. It included small bottles of naphthol red light, prussian blue hue, primary yellow and titantium white pouring medium. I combined all of them in layers using a single cup and poured the contents on the center of the canvas. I then tilted the canvas until the paint had spread out and covered the entire surface. As a final touch, I used a hair dryer to further blend and maneuver the paint resulting in the smeared white waves. The end result is a piece that looks like a chunk of earth when viewed from space.
