18x20" / 7/8" acrylic pour abstract created in spring of 2020. The work began by covering the canvas with gray wood stain. I then prepared pouring medium using pearlescent magenta, titanium white, naphthol red light, and ultramarine blue. I then placed a 12" diameter / 2" cardboard cylinder on the center of the canvas and poured the medium into the center. After letting it set for approximately an hour, I removed the cylinder. Using a palette knife, I created spikes by dragging it from the center outward along the circumference of the circle.
