11x14" / 7/8" abstract created in the summer of 2020. This simple work explores the use of stencils on canvas. It began by creating a palette of cadmium green mixed with titanium white. Using brush strokes, I then create a grid like structure on the canvas. Once this layer dried, I placed a 12x12" stencil on the center of the canvas. Using a sponge dipped in fluorescent pink, I applied color to the exposed areas of the stencil. After the work dried, I applied a layer of gloss.
