11x14” / 7/8" pour abstraction created in the fall of 2020. Similarly to series 6, this canvas is inspired by the pandemic. Again using acrylic pour techniques, I attempt to re-create the spiked CORVID-19 molecule, which defined the branding of the pandemic in 2020. The base layer is teal blended with titanium white. The controlled pour done using a 6" diameter card board ring placed in the center of the canvas consisted of mixture of fluorescent green, carbon black, and cobalt turquoise. Drizzled titanium white was applied as a final effect to denote the idea of molecule being outside or in the atmosphere.
