11x14” / 7/8" pour abstraction created in the fall of 2020. Similarly to series 6, this canvas is inspired by the pandemic. Again using acrylic pour techniques, I attempt to re-create the spiked CORVID-19 molecule, which defined the branding of the pandemic in 2020. It combines a palette of pyrrole orange, fluorescent chartreuse, cobalt turquoise, pyrrole red, titanium white and phthalo blue. Finally, silicon was injected to form cells and create texture throughout the piece making the piece interesting on up close inspection.
