16x20" / 1.5" / canvas - This piece featuring a single color is reminiscent of Abstract Expressionism, particularly the Color Field painters like Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman. It was created in the summer of 2023 using red spray paint and a leaf discovered in the back yard of our Asheville home.
